Outline of method

A known quantity of the MR formulation is transferred to a glass bottle and a specified amount of ethanol-water mixture is added. It is then placed at constant temperature in an upright position. After static extraction for three specified periods, concentrations of remaining pyriproxyfen in the MR formulations are determined by high-performance liquid chromatography.

 

Scope

This method is intended for use only with pyriproxyfen matrix release (MR) formulations for public health applications.

Ouline of method

Pyriproxyfen is determined by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography using UV detection at 254 nm and dicyclohexyl phthalate as internal standard.
Note The use of the internal standard is necessary due to the possible evaporation of the solvent.

 

 

Scope

The method is usable for TC, EC, EW and GR-formulations.
