Outline of method

The ETU is extracted from the sample with acetonitrile containing N,N,N’-trimethylthiourea as internal standard. After filtration and dilution with eluant the solution is injected onto a long carbon chain reversed phase column with enhanced polar retention and the peak area is measured at 230 nm.

Scope

The method is applicable to technical ethylene (bisdithicarbamates) (EBDC's) and their WP, WG and SC formulations.
