CIPAC's objectives can in short be described as follows:

• To promote the international agreement on methods for the analysis of pesticide products and physico-chemical test methods for formulations.
• To promote inter-Iaboratory programmes.
• To sponsor symposia to encourage development in the fields mentioned above. 
• To publish standardised methods of analysis.
• To collaborate with other organisations.
